Renting

The cabin is used by the owners throughout the year for their and the family’s own enjoyment. However, there are times when the cabin is available for short-term renters who are looking for a place to stay for their leisure or business in the mountains of Colorado.

Airbnb and VRBO have listings for the Lion’s Den to facilitate the booking process and manage the renting conditions. For renters to enjoy a pleasant and smooth stay at the cabin they need to comply with restrictions set by the owners, the community of Warm Springs Ranch, as well as the licensing requirements set by Park County Ordinance.

There are several ways to book the cabin. You can rent the entire house, that is all 3 floors: main level, loft level, and walk-out basement. Or, you can rent the house without using the basement, that is main level and loft level only. Renting the cabin without the basement comes at a lower nighly rate and with a smaller cleaning fee.

The easiest way to rent the cabin is to book via Airbnb or VRBO. If you want to avoid fees associated with using these rental platforms, you can contact the owners directly (see contact info under the “Guest Info” tab). This may be particularly less cost-prohibitive if you are interested in longer-term renting.

House Rules

We expect that our guests respect the home as much as we do. To avoid any confusion as to what that means to the owners, we have listed rules that set some boundaries for what is allowed and what is not. We trust they are common sense and self-explanatory:

  • No smoking on the property
  • No parties or celebration events unless pre-approved by owners
  • No visitors allowed, only registered guests
  • No loud noise during nighttime hours
  • No eating in the bedrooms
  • No wet shoes in the living areas, keep wet shoes in the garage
  • Ski or snowboard gear only in the garage
  • No pets
  • No cars allowed in the garage except for charging an electric vehicle

Warm Springs Ranch Rules

  • Only household trash/garbage may be placed in the dumpster (behind the club house).
  • No overnight camping is allowed.
  • Parking of motorized vehicles is not allowed, except in designated areas such as in the provided parking area at the large pond and in the designated trailhead parking areas. No parking on the roads is allowed, except for daytime construction or temporary parking when cleaning driveways of snow. Absolutely no parking on roads at night or overnight.
  • Observe all posted signage including speed limit requirements. Speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
  • No trespassing when hiking. All lots in Warm Springs Ranch are privately owned. Only hike on designated trails.

Park County Short-term Rental Ordinance
