The interior was finished by the owners in a contemporary style. Big windows provide great unrestricted views of the South Park basin and surrounding mountains.

About the Owners

After years of dreaming of a building a mountain get-away, Marc and Kenny purchased a lot off High Creek Road in Warm Springs Ranch at the end of 2016. Ground breaking for the new home started in May of 2017. For the construction of the house a contractor was hired to oversee the completion of the main structures. Most of the interior finishes were completed by Marc himself with the help of the family. A lot of time and sweat went into the project, but the result is a home that they can proudly call their own.

The Lion’s Den

A retreat like the mountain home in Warm Springs deserves to have a worthy name. The owners were born and raised in Belgium, more specifically in Flanders, located in the northern half of the country. The official symbol of the Flemish Community is the Flemish Lion, depicted as a black lion on a yellow flag. After animated debate amongst the family members it was decided that “The Lion’s Den” would be a great nickname for the cabin as it makes reference to the homeland as well as to the wildlife of the Rocky Mountains.
