Address and Directions
The cabin is located in the Warm Springs Ranch Community, 15 minutes south of the town of Fairplay.
Address: 2749 High Creek Road, Fairplay, CO 80440
Warm Springs Ranch can be accessed via a north entrance (off of CR 20) or a south entrance (off of CR 5). Since The Lion’s Den cabin is located in the southern part of the Ranch we recommend entering via the south entrance.

Directions to the south entrance:
- When driving on Highway 285 turn west on County Road 5. If you are driving south on 285 (coming from Denver/Fairplay), CR 5 is located immediately on your right after passing the green road sign “Passing lane in 1/2 mile”. The first section of CR 5 is asphalt.
- After about 1 mile CR 5 becomes a dirt road.
- Just when the road transitions from asphalt to dirt turn right onto Breakneck Pass Road, another dirt road.
- After about a 1/2 mile you will see the entrance to Warm Springs Ranch on your right. To open the gate to the Ranch you will have to punch in a code on the keypad (on the left hand side of the entryway).
- Once through the gate, continue following the road (Sheep Ridge Road) into the Ranch.
- The second Road on the left is High Creek Road: turn left.
- Follow High Creek Road for 1/2 mile until you see the sign for the Lion’s Den on your left. You have reached your destination. Welcome!
Instructions for entering the property
Warm Springs Ranch is a gated community. The code to open the gate to enter Warm Springs Ranch, as well as the code to unlock the front door of the cabin, will be provided to the guests prior to their arrival. The code for the front door is changed for every new guest.
Security
There are 3 cameras installed outside for enhanced security. To protect your privacy there are no cameras inside the home.
Driving in the Winter

Warm Springs Ranch is located at an altitude of 10,000 feet. During winter months the weather can be cold and windy. It is recommended to check road conditions for US Highway 285 and be prepared for icy and snowy roads. When Colorado’s Passenger Vehicle Traction Law is in effect a Four/All-Wheel Drive with winter/snow tires is your best choice when renting a vehicle. During extreme weather conditions (white out, black ice) some sections of Highway 285 may be temporarily closed. It is highly advisable to always have warm cloths and drinks in the car in case you get stranded on the side of the road.
